Anything Worth Having…
Posted on September 1, 2010
…is worth waiting for. And that’s just what Josh, Sherry and Laney are doing – waiting patiently for the arrival of little Tierney who is set to make her grand entrance in just a few short weeks.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Josh and Sherry’s family for a while. In fact, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing their engagement pictures, their wedding and last years Christmas pictures. They are always a ton of fun and up for anything. They put up with me pretty well!
The whole family came along for the session. I love it when dads and kiddos get in on the action! Laney is such a goof. I’m pretty sure her words right before this were, “Eww, I don’t want to see them kissing!”
It’s a good thing Josh and Sherry trust me. I’m sure they were questioning why in the world I would want to take a picture of their backsides. You just can’t beat a pregnant profile. I think they’re beautiful!

Laney is so excited to be a big sister, and I’m sure she’s going to be a great help to her mommy! Doesn’t she have beautiful eyes?
She gets them from her mommy.
Thank you so much for inviting me out once again to take a part in such a special time for your family!

Baby Cam
Posted on August 29, 2010
Meet Mr. Cam. He is one adorable little man who just recently celebrated his 3 month birthday. This age can be extremely difficult to photograph, but Cam did really well! His mommy was amazingly patient with him. I’m thinking about hiring her out to give seminars to mommies on how to stay stress free during a photo session. She was a pro!

You can’t beat a blue-eyed baby boy. Melts a mommy’s heart.
If you ask for a session with your 3 month old, I am not expecting to get pictures of your little bundle of joy sleeping. Usually at this age you can expect pictures of them on their backs or stomach since they’re not able to sit-up yet, and they’re usually too curious to sleep a wink. But remember that part about his mom being super patient and just downright awesome? It paid out in a big way with a little cat-nap and about five minutes to get some sleeping baby shots.
After his little nap, he was all smiles for his Grandma, who helped me out by standing behind me and making him give us worlds sweetest smiles. I can’t take credit for this smile, but I’ll add it to my “I make babies smile” collection anyways!
This post wouldn’t be complete without adding Cam’s sweet big sisters. They love their little brother so much and were great helpers during the session! He’s one lucky little guy to have such great sisters.
Shelley – It was such a privilege to get to spend some time capturing these memories for your family. Thank you, and enjoy!

Miss Emma
Posted on August 18, 2010
Little Miss Emma’s mommy and I have been trying to get together to do these pictures since Christmas…no joke. Our plans have been thwarted each and every time. Even before yesterdays session it started raining, but we were determined to make this shoot happen! And I am just so thrilled that we did. Emma is one seriously gorgeous girl and I am nothing short of giddy posting these pictures.
Emma is a little natural at posing. Just melts my heart!
We were limited on posing options since we were dealing with wet ground (it literally rained on me the whole way over up until about half a mile from the session location!) but there was definitely no limitations on Emma’s cuteness.
Berlidys – thank you so much for being so persistent in rescheduling our botched attempts! I am so glad we finally were able to get these gorgeous shots of your little sweetheart taken and I hope you LOVE them!

Miss Elizabeth

Little Miss Elizabeth turns 2 next week. You might recognize her as the little girl in one of the blog headers. That picture was from her first birthday, and my has she grown! She’s turning into such a sweet little girl…and, oh, the big dark eyes and soft, wavy hair!
She’s super-cool in her shades.

Elizabeth loved every aspect of the beach – the sand, the water, all of the little rocks and seaweed. She couldn’t take her eyes off of it.

So glad I got to have a part in making this memory! This is probably the last birthday pictures I’ll get to take of this sweet little one as they’ll be moving soon, so it warms my heart to have been able to end our birthday sessions with such a sweet little look.
Come back and visit me, Elizabeth. I’d take your pictures any day!

Miss Mya
Posted on August 14, 2010
Little Miss Mya is getting ready to turn 2. She’s full of spunk, energy and independence…the mark of a 2-year-old! She was not in a modeling sort of mood and tried her hardest not to look at the camera, but persistence paid off in the end and we were able to capture a few memories for her mommy.
I love it when I’m able to capture these “real” moments. Mya walking the beach hand-in-hand with mommy.

She looked like a little princess all dolled up in her pretty pink dress!
Happy Birthday, Mya!
