Baby Boy’s Birthday and Giveaway! {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Photographer}
Posted on May 24, 2011
My baby just keeps growing – today he turns the big boy 4! We had a lot of fun doing his 4-year-old birthday session. Just goes to show that if you stick a kid in their element you’re bound to get some treasured shots. You can bet that several of these will be displayed on my wall in the near future, right along-side his big sissy’s 8-year-old shots.
OF COURSE – I haven’t forgotten the promise of a giveaway! In honor of my little man’s 4th birthday, leave a comment at the bottom of this blog post today (May 24th, 2011) to reserve a complimentary 8×10 from your next session with Christina Ann Photography!
Now on to the cuteness….
For those of you that don’t personally know the family, my husband is a HUGE Jeep freak aficionado. Needless to say, both kids are learning the love of Jeeps at a young age. It only seemed appropriate to let the “like father, like son” Jeep love rule the session!
This picture cracks me up. He looks like a little GQ model – so serious!
You never know what you will get when giving directions to a 4-year-old. I told him to look really serious for me, and this is what I got.

I wish I could just bottle up this age and all of its sweetness up and keep it forever! He’s heard me say it every day of his life, and I’m pretty sure he’ll hear it every day for years to come: “I love you as high as the sky and as deep as the ocean!”
Happy birthday, little man. Mommy loves you!
And for the record, after the session I asked him, “Are you going to drive a Jeep when you grow up?” And he responded, “No. I’m going to drive a minivan just like YOU!” Teehee. Don’t let daddy know!
(Don’t forget to leave a happy birthday comment below for a complimentary 8×10 from your next session!)
Betsy Belly {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Maternity Photographer}

Betsy is the niece of one of my most favoritest people in the world, so when her Aunt Lauri asked me to do maternity pictures while Betsy was in town I jumped at the chance! Betsy and her hubby are expecting their first baby, a sweet little girl, this July. She is one GORGEOUS (and itty bitty petite!) momma!

I just love baby bumps! While taking this picture we were talking about how amazing it is that there’s actually a little person inside of there.

I LOVE these pictures. I mentioned the night before the session that I wanted to take this particular chair outdoors for the session. I’m not sure Lauri thought I was serious about it – but I was! And I’m so glad she obliged because these pictures are some of my favorite maternity pictures ever!
And, of course, we wanted to get daddy in some of the pictures as well. He’s as equally excited as mommy to meet his new little princes. No doubt he’ll be wrapped around her pint-sized finger in no time at all.

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of capturing this special time in your life!
7 Months of Sweetness {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Baby Photographer}

I’ve been watching little Miss Tierney grow since she was just a picture on an ultrasound. Now she’s seven months old and just as cute and sweet as can be! I just love photographing babies at this age. They’re so full of wide-eyed wonder and big smiles – who could resist?!
She’s such a little beauty, and a natural born princess. I just love this photo. It made it to the top of the blog header the day I took it!

I look forward to continuing to watch this sweet little one grow!
Amaya & Channing {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Photographer}

This week I got to meet beautiful Amaya and her handsome little brother Channing. Their mommy called me about getting some pictures of them for a Father’s Day surprise (a great idea – daddies love pictures too!) so shhhh – don’t tell him that they’re here! Their mommy opted to go with a private photographer knowing that her kiddos would have a hard time sitting still in a studio setting and it would be difficult to get shots in the limited amount of time allowed. I love this – because that’s just the nature of kids! Just another reason why a private photography session may be exactly what suits your needs!
We started out our session by playing with some paper airplanes. Amaya is only three years old, but she knew all of her colors and was quick to tell me which ones she liked the best. The girl has brains AND beauty!

Little brother Channing liked the airplanes too, but mainly because they were delicious.

We traded out the airplanes for some balloons. What kid doesn’t love balloons? And giving a kid what they love is a sure way to get pictures of genuine enjoyment!

What is it about little boys and their beautiful eyelashes? He is just such a handsome little man!

Crystal – it was a true pleasuring meeting you and your little ones and getting the privilege of playing with them for a while! I’m sure daddy’s going to love his pictures. How could he not when they’re of his beautiful babies!
Wedding Second-Shoot {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Wedding Photographer}

Mid-April I had the privilege of second-shooting a wedding for Jenny over at Jenny Earnest Photography. The bride and groom are friends of Jenny’s family, and the beautiful bride, Sarah, had been planning this wedding for years. She and her husband, Allen, have actually been married for 12 years – and they’re currently expecting their fourth little one this year! But Sarah didn’t let the fact that they were already married hold her back from having the wedding that she’d always wanted. Here, 12 years later, Allen and Sarah repeated the vows to each other that they have already been clinging to. It was sweet, simple and so sincere – I’m so inspired by their love and dedication to each other!

I love all of the little details of a wedding. It’s these little moments – these little pieces of yourselves – that will be remembered for years to come.

The soft colors of the wedding against the rustic country background was beautiful. Sarah looked every bit the princess that she is in her gorgeous dress.

A BIG congratulations to Allen and Sarah for finally having the wedding they have waited so long for, and a HUGE thank you to Jenny for allowing me to have a part in helping capture their special day!
