Meet Lauren.  She is 9 months old and cute as cute can be.  The entire family (Dad, Mom and both Grandmas!) came along for the fun – and what a sweet family!  Regardless of the rain the night before (leaving us with soppy, wet grass!) all were in good spirits and were able to capture some memories that hopefully the entire family can enjoy for years to come.

The 6-12 month age is SO much fun.  They are developing little personalities and infatuated by the most simple of things – like sunlight streaming through a tree…and shoes!
This is quite possibly my favorite image from Lauren’s session.  Her sparkly blue eyes…her kissable, smushable little cheeks…those pouty little lips…it’s just an overload of cuteness!
When doing family pictures, I do TRY to get at least one image of everyone looking at the camera.  It’s the expected shot.
BUT, my favorite family shots are ALWAYS the interactive ones…the less posed ones…those shots that capture the true emotion of a family.  And look – Daddy even got a smile out of little miss serious!
It was so neat to have both of Lauren’s Grandma’s there.  It was just one more opportunity to capture all of the love Lauren has surrounding her!

I can’t believe sweet little Gabe is already a year old!  I was so excited to get the chance to play with a smash cake session for his birthday.  He is SUCH a happy baby – but apparently a happy baby who does NOT like cake!  We didn’t let that hold us back, though.  We were still able to get some smiles from little man – and his love for the balloons totally made up for his dislike of the cake!

Meet Amy.  She is the sister of previous client Kaylee and the sister of recent client Beth.  I just love referrals!

Amy is oh-so-close to her due date.  Her little one will be snuggled up in her arms before you know it.  So when she contacted me this past week about doing a maternity session with her and her husband, Joel, I didn’t hesitate to get her worked into the schedule.  And I’m so glad I did!  She and Joel were a pleasure to be around, not to mention a stunning couple!

I love shooting at new locations.  We met up at St. Leo’s University and between the giant trees and gorgeous architecture of the old buildings we were able to get some really fun shots.  I love the repetition of the pillars here and the contrast of the white of the pillars with Amy’s gorgeous dark hair.

Sweet baby Jacob made his entrance into the world just a little over a week ago.  I was so excited to meet him!  He was such a perfect little model and pretty much slept through his entire session.  It was quick, easy, and oh-so-precious!

I just love these images – he is so cute.  I’ve already ordered the image on the left as a sample piece for myself!  I love the sweet little hat from my friend over at Kangaroos & Coconuts as well!This adorable owl hat is also from Kangaroos & Coconuts.

One of the great parts about Florida is that you can basically get outdoor newborn images year round.  Nothing beats natural light.  In fact, all of the images from this session were taken right on their back porch or near their front yard.

Little Jacob just kept on sleeping.  It gave me lots of opportunities to snuggle!  Nothing beats soft baby skin and sweet newborn smell.  Diaper cover and hat set compliments of Marti’s Creations.

I will never get tired of saying it – Moms and Dads, you MUST include yourself in some images from your newborn session.  There’s no emotion so strong as the love of a parent for a child, and no time like when they’re a newborn to capture it!  These images just melt my heart.

Thank you so much Tommy and Beth (and Buddy too!) for inviting me into your home to capture these precious memories for you.  I know baby Jacob is such a blessing to you, and I am just thrilled that I got the opportunity to meet him!
