Ross & Abbie {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Engagement and Couples Photographer}
Posted on October 10, 2011
Since moving Christina Ann Photography in the direction of maternity through first-year photography, I haven’t had as many opportunities this year to do couples photography. So when my sweet friend Amanda invited me to the other side of the state to do a session for her brother and sister-in-law I was thrilled to switch gears for a couple of hours. Ross and Abbie just recently celebrated their first anniversary, and it’s so obvious how much they love each other. After all, Ross DID agree to pictures – now THAT’S love!
Not only did I get the chance to shoot something different, but I also got to get away from my “usual” locations. I love new spots! It was a “new” spot for Ross and Abbie too. They’re from Missouri!
There was this gorgeous old home on site that was being renovated. It was a beautiful spot! Almost as beautiful as Ross and Abbie!

While I normally avoid direct sunlight like the plague on sessions, we were waiting to get some sunset shots. It totally worked for us, on this case, and the hazy light just made the look all the more romantic.

Nothing beats the romance of a kiss in the sunset!

Thank you, Ross and Abbie, for a fun evening of shooting. You’re such a sweet and fun couple – I look forward to the day when our paths might once again cross!
Love in Pictures {Spring Hill FL Children and Family Photographer}

This family has been waiting quite a while to get family pictures taken. Their patience paid off and we were able to capture some great lifestyle portraits of their beautiful family! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – there’s a reason I don’t do studio style portraits. Pictures that capture emotion will always mean more than the “smile and say cheese” shots that a studio allows for. Take a look for yourself and I’ll bet you’ll be able to tell the HUGE amount of love that flows through this family just by looking at the pictures! **A special thanks to Melissa Ann Photography for second shooting for me on this session!**
We started with a few family shots first. These are usually the hardest to get with little ones!

These little boys were so gorgeous – dark hair and the biggest, brownest, sweetest eyes you’ve ever seen!

Then we brought out the bubbles for the boys to play with. There’s nothing quite as sweet as seeing little brothers play together. And yes, attempting to eat the bubbles and sticking the bubble wand down your shoe DOES constitute as playing =)

Dad and mom were able to get a few new pictures of themselves as well. I asked them how long they had been together and they said eight years. There’s no worn love between these two, though. They’re just as adorably in love as ever!

Al & Jennifer – thank you so much for allowing us to capture some sweet moments for your family. You are so full of love for each other and for your little men, it can’t help but spill over into the pictures!
Tracey and Meaghan {Spring Hill Tampa FL Couple’s Photographer}

Meet Tracey and Meaghan. Tracey and my hubby go way back – far enough back that we just consider him family. A few years ago Tracey made two major decisions. One was to accept a position with his company in Germany and the other was to start dating Meaghan. I totally admire the way these two have weathered their long-distance relationship. You can tell that they are totally and completely head-over-heels for each other and take full advantage of every minute that they are able to spend together. In order to give them a tangible memory, we went out to Tampa for a couples session.
Tracey looks this way at Meaghan constantly. I hope you’re not trying to be subtle, Tracey, because it’s pretty obvious to those around you that you absolutely adore Meaghan!
This shot was actually Tracey’s idea. He said they were looking off into forever. Yeah, you know it’s serious when he says “forever”!
And as always, the “real” shots are always my favorite…those moments when you’re able to capture pure emotion – real laughter – true love.
A big thank you to the both of you for a great evening and my sincere hope that before you know it there won’t be an entire ocean separating the two of you!
Love and Laughter {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Couple’s and Engagement Photography}

A few days ago I put out a plea on my facebook page for a couple willing to donate their time for a portfolio building session. My sweet friend Kim was kind enough to volunteer herself and her husband and I could not have been more excited leading up to the session. Poor Quinton had no idea what he’d gotten himself into; but thanks to his willingness, he and Kim now have some updated couples pictures!
I simply cannot state enough how strongly I believe that couples photos shouldn’t stop at the wedding. Just as your children’s changes are worthy of capturing on film, so is your love. Relationships change and grow just as quickly as our kids do, and a marriage that fights against the current to stay strong, faces changes, compromises and blossoms is worth celebrating.
Of course, if your husband is anything like mine (bless his heart!) then the idea of a photo session is not exactly top of his list of fun things to do. So this is your chance, ladies. There’s only about three times a year that your request for a couples session is hard to turn down – Christmas, your birthday and valentines day. Take full advantage this holiday season and let your sweetie know what you would really love is some artwork of the two of you for your bedroom walls! And just to sweeten the deal, if you book a couples session with Christina Ann Photography before January 31, 2011, you can enjoy 15% off all print packages and 20% off all a la carte items!
Now on to the pictures!
Quinton and Kim are getting ready to celebrate their 14 year anniversary. With as gorgeous as Kim is, I can only assume this means they were married at the age of 12.
See what I mean? She’s gorgeous! And I’m fairly certain she was a model in a previous life because this girl knows how to work it.
Fourteen years in and Quinton can still make Kim laugh! Actually, there was a lot of laughing at this session. Just a perfect example that pictures don’t have to be the steriotypical in studio, sit-up-straight, don’t wrinkle your clothes type of experience!

I tell people all the time not to worry too much about beautiful backgrounds for pictures. You want to draw attention to the faces, not the scenery. That doesn’t mean that it’s not fun to find awesome locations to shoot at, though!

Thank you again, Q and Kim, for being so willing to let me have some fun with you guys on this session! I had a blast and hope you love your pictures just as much as I do!
A Family Affair {family photography Spring Hill FL}

I adore this family. From the minute I got there I felt like family. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Jim and Danielle’s growing family this year and was thrilled to get the opportunity to capture some memories with the extended family. And what a gorgeous family they are!

These little kids were such troopers. Four kids at a session all under the age of three is no joke! But thanks to the patience of their families and a little help from our friends M&Ms, we were able to make it through the session with no major meltdowns!
So happy to get a chance to capture a family picture of this family since they’ve added baby Zeke!
It’s easy to see where Danielle gets her good looks from, not to mention the super sweet personality!
This is Danielle’s brother Ron and his gorgeous wife Shannon. I love this collection. These types of “real” moments are always my favorite!
Thank you for allowing me into your family yet again! It was such a great way to start the weekend!
