Family Fun {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Photographer}
Posted on November 2, 2011
Family sessions are few and far between for me these days (and getting more-so with my move to maternity through first-year photography), but when Brittany contacted me about doing a session with their family I didn’t hesitate one bit. From the first contact it was obvious to me that this fun-loving family and I would mesh quite nicely. They love the outdoors, so heading out to do a natural light session fit their style (and mine!) much better than a traditional studio setting.
We met up on the most PERFECT evening for some outdoor shots in one of their favorite family locations.
We could take a million posed shots from any family session, but show me one with family interaction and it’s always going to be my favorite!
It was a lot of fun being around the two boys, Travis (11) and Colton (6). With my own little guy only being 4 it was like getting to get a peak into the future of what little boys are like as they grow!

I am so glad that WT and Brittany asked for a few pictures of just themselves as well. And for the record – Brittany, you are gorgeous! I just love your smile!

A big thank you to your family for a fun session. I enjoyed every minute of it!
Announcing A New Fishy {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Maternity Newborn and Baby Photographer}

Remember the sweet little munchkins from this post? Well I’ve been waiting a couple weeks to share the REAL reason for our photo session. Amanda asked me to come take some special pictures of their family to help share a special surprise with those closest to them – and now that the word is out, I can share too!
Congratulations, Matt, Amanda and family, on the new little fishy that you’ll be adding to your school! I can’t wait to meet the new little one when he/she arrives!
Amanda made this storyboard into a card to present to family as an announcement of the upcoming family addition. I can’t wait to see the finished product (card AND baby)!
Ellis and Rocco had a blast splashing in the fish bowl. Seriously. Most. Adorable. Thing. Ever!

No posed portrait session can EVER substitute for the emotion captured in REAL moments. I absolutely love this picture of my sweet friend sharing in her children’s excitement!

Thank you so much for letting me have a part in sharing this wonderful news! It was so much fun!
Beautiful Babies {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Children and Baby Photographer}

A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of capturing some images for friend, and fellow JBFer, Amanda. She and her husband Matt have been blessed with three of the most adorable babies you’ve ever laid your eyes on – not to mention they’re super sweet!
This is Rocco and he’s the big brother. He is super sweet, super smart and full of energy – just like a little boy should be! Can you believe at the ripe old age of two he’s already starting to read? He had a blast throwing these giant balls around the yard. They were nearly as big as he is!

This is sweet little Ellis. She’s getting ready to turn a year old here in just about a week! She’s so petite and beautiful…and amazingly sweet. I just wanted to stick her in my pocket and sneak her away.

This is baby Jett, and he’s the littlest of the family – but not by much! He and big sister Ellis are only about six months apart. He is the smiley-est little guy and I absolutely adore him.

You have GOT to check out this playhouse that their momma made for them out of a giant cardboard box. This family is just overflowing with creativity!
Matt and Amanda – thank you for allowing me to come be a part of your family for the day! Your children are not only gorgeous on the outside, but you’re working so faithfully to instill inner beauty in them – and it shows. I can’t wait to see all of you again!
How Did THAT Happen? {Spring Hill Brooksville FL Maternity, Newborn and Baby Photographer}

Seriously…just the other day I was experiencing what it was like to be a mom for the first time. Taking care of those middle-of-the-night feedings, teaching her how to walk, my heart melting the first time she called me “Ma-ma” – it all seems like such a short time ago! And now look at my little girl, all of eight-years old going on eighteen. And oh, how I love her even more today than I did then!
My baby girl’s birthday is a perfect opportunity to remind all of us that each moment and phase of life is so fleeting. Each precious stage is worth being immortalized in pictures. Don’t miss out on your once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to capture all of the little things that you love about your children right now. You’ll never regret the memories!
In honor of my little lady’s birthday, leave her a Happy Birthday greeting in a comment to this blog post** (just click the “leave a comment” link at the bottom of the post) and receive a complimentary 8×10 after your next session with Christina Ann Photography!
**Comment must be left today, April 15, 2011, by midnight EST
So Happy, Happy Birthday, sweet girl. I am so lucky to be your Momma!

Love in Pictures {Spring Hill FL Children and Family Photographer}

This family has been waiting quite a while to get family pictures taken. Their patience paid off and we were able to capture some great lifestyle portraits of their beautiful family! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – there’s a reason I don’t do studio style portraits. Pictures that capture emotion will always mean more than the “smile and say cheese” shots that a studio allows for. Take a look for yourself and I’ll bet you’ll be able to tell the HUGE amount of love that flows through this family just by looking at the pictures! **A special thanks to Melissa Ann Photography for second shooting for me on this session!**
We started with a few family shots first. These are usually the hardest to get with little ones!

These little boys were so gorgeous – dark hair and the biggest, brownest, sweetest eyes you’ve ever seen!

Then we brought out the bubbles for the boys to play with. There’s nothing quite as sweet as seeing little brothers play together. And yes, attempting to eat the bubbles and sticking the bubble wand down your shoe DOES constitute as playing =)

Dad and mom were able to get a few new pictures of themselves as well. I asked them how long they had been together and they said eight years. There’s no worn love between these two, though. They’re just as adorably in love as ever!

Al & Jennifer – thank you so much for allowing us to capture some sweet moments for your family. You are so full of love for each other and for your little men, it can’t help but spill over into the pictures!
